Frequently Asked Questions

What if I feel nervous about starting therapy?

That’s completely normal. Many people feel unsure before beginning. Our first step together is simply getting to know one another—you don’t need to have everything figured out. This is your space to come as you are.

Do I have to know what I want to work on?

Not at all. Some people come to therapy with clear goals, while others just know they want something to feel different. We’ll take time to explore what matters most to you and move at a pace that feels safe.

What will the first session be like?

Think of it as a conversation. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you in, what you hope for, and any questions you might have. It’s also a chance for you to see if this space feels supportive and comfortable for you.

Who do you work with?

I work with adolescents, adults, families, and relationships of all kinds. I welcome people of all backgrounds, genders, sexualities, and life paths. Whoever you are, your story is welcome here.

Do you offer in-person sessions?

Yes. I love working with people in person in [Your Location], but I also offer virtual sessions for those who prefer connecting from home. We can figure out together what feels best for you.

What if I’m not sure therapy is right for me?

That’s okay. Therapy is an exploration, not a commitment you have to make before you’re ready. If you’re curious, I offer a free 20-minute consultation so you can ask questions and get a feel for what it might be like.

How do I get started?

It’s simple. You can book a consultation or session through my online scheduler, or send me a message through my Contact page. From there, we’ll take it one step at a time.

Do I offer sliding scale?

I do make accommodations on a case by case basis and provide a limited percentage of my clients a reduction in fees.
